Sounds an interesting pair of bloggers to say the least, I can see myself reading more on here. Kudos for the late night Halo I find myself doing the same from time to time.
I’m getting in touch because of your writings on Atheism and the dangers of Evangelical Christianity. I work for a company called SnagFilms that allows audiences to download award-winning documentaries for free, help support filmmakers and donate to topical charities. With a couple of clicks and only a few of your pixels, the SnagFilms widget turns any website into a free online theater, with real films, not a bunch of trailers. Our documentary library includes a film I think your readers might find interesting. BORN AGAIN is the story of Director Markie Hancock’s evangelical upbringing and her 20-year struggle to get out. We would like to share BORN AGAIN with you and your audience!
By showcasing this growing library of films, you will support an independent filmmaker and vital causes, while also increasing the time spent on your site/blog by your readers, and adding another reason for new readers to visit. The SnagFilms movie player does not require a desktop download, but instead efficiently streams the films. All expenses, including streaming costs, are covered by SnagFilms and there is no additional load on your servers. You need only provide the pixels and we take care of the rest.
We have some pretty audacious goals – we believe we can preserve and strengthen independent filmmaking; we think we can use the democracy of the web to build stronger communities; and we know we can enrich a great number of websites with what is normally the most costly content: professional, compelling films.
I hope you’ll consider adding BORN AGAIN to your site. To add the widget, click on the Snag button under “Snag This Film” at http://snagfilms.com/films/title/born_again/. Feel free to email me with any questions.
I watched a film recently about a group of Jews in Auschwitz who put God on trial. That came to mind when I read the seemingly contradictory phrase “atheist Jew”. I guess I fluctuate between atheism, agnosticism and a mix of the two. I don’t believe in any particular human religion or idea of a supernatural deity, but I think that it’s impossible to know either way until we die. And then once we’re dead, I think that, unfortunately, we’ll never “know” anything because we’ll just cease to exist…

I have been thinking about estates and much contested estate taxes, and I am curious what your thoughts on estates are?
1. The rich being able to leave their estates to their children is too similar to the monarchy, and leads to entitlement issues.
or
2. That people who earn their money and power ought to leave it to whomever they want.
I guess if you support the first, I wonder how you would recommend dealing with the estate. And if you support the second, what separates the Monarchy from being just like any other rich and powerful people?
…
A friend and I were having this discussion, and you seemed like the right person to ask.
You might need to start a blog or a facebook page to find all of those Halo-addicted moms out there since you’re not going to find each other sitting at home playing Halo!
I could play on line but I need to find people to play on line with. I suppose there have to be other Halo moms out there in the ether. Reach was such a disappointment – no zombies, no joy.

lol – sorry – that is a typo – really!
“a lot”.
notice – “I play a lot of late night halo”
So I use “a lot” a lot…I didn’t say I was an English major for f*cks sake. Now…does that need an apostrophe?
Yes.
that’s what I thought…

what’s wrong with being a mom addicted to Halo? aren’t they all?
I wish more were – then I would have more friends.

How about a personal ad?!
