German-American?
January 1, 2010
It occurred to me today that blacks in America are no more African than I am German. I’m American. Why are they African-American?
Sometimes I think that I think too much but it’s who I am.

Very relevant Point you make there. Makes me think about people in Quebec.
Now in BC, I came from Montreal 35 years ago so I can speak bluntly of Quebecoisers.
They are not Quebecois. They are Canadians.
I am not a BCer. I am a Canadian.
People visit Canada to first see the world’s best scenery.
Germans miss their ‘Black Forest’.
Secondly, tourists want to explore Canadian culture.
The culture of Ski, Farm, Nature, Music, French, English and Native.
Its all Canada. Its all Canadian.
There are lots of flavours. Newfie, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec City, Montreal, French Winnipeg, Ukranian Edmonton North, Cow Puncher Calgary, Lotus Land Vancouver Island and more.
Quebec is in no way separate. Canada blossomed mostly in Quebec and the flavour has spread coast to coast.
There are spoken French and French accents heard here on the coast every day.
Canadians we are, one and all.
