Disney Double Standard?

I keep hearing that Miley Cyrus doesn’t dress appropriately for her age but have you seen Taylor Momsen?  She just turned 16.  Why no uproar over this?

Actually, I totally understand that they are performers and live in a very different world from that of the average teenage girl.  Don’t you think that there is a double standard?  Miley is supposed to be pure and innocent because she’s on Disney but no one even flinches at a “Gossip Girl” dressed like Lady Gaga.

I really, really hope that baggy jeans and big sweatshirts come back into style soon.
