Butter sculptures. Really.
Did you know that a lot of state fairs have butter sculptures? I thought it was just an Iowa thing. Not so.
Do you think that any of the other fairs will have a life-size butter sculpture of Michael Jackson? I hope not but the Iowa State Fair will. And, with some twisted bit of logic, the sculpture of Jackson moonwalking will also acknowledge the 40th anniversary of the first moonwalk. That’s the real moonwalk where men walked on the moon.
So many bad ideas.
I think the original moonwalk deserves much better as a celebration of the 40th anniversary. Might I suggest a butter astronaut?
On a related note, the butter from these sculptures is recycled and reused for up to ten years. Soooo … Michael could be made of last year’s Shawn Johnson.
