Teaching the children…

…to explode.
When we seek martyrdom, we go to heaven.
You tell us we’re small, but from this way of life we have become big.
Without Palestine, what does childhood mean?
My country and my blood are like its sands

When we die for our country, we live forever.
You tell us we’re small, but from this way of life we have become big.
Without America, what does childhood mean?
My country and my blood are like its freedom

Just regular jingoism. Perhaps its not that pretty but its hardly unusual.
You think it’s normal to teach children that the highest goal in life is to be a suicide bomber?
That song you quote, in and of itself does not appear to me to be doing so.
Really? Seriously? So you think that soldiers fighting a war to protect freedom and democracy, is the same as little children being told to martyr themselves? For “Palestine”. You know what that means don’t you? (picture little bomb vest with remote trigger).
Can you think of any song, sung by American children, meant for and aimed at children, that tells them to martyr themselves for their country? With added benefit of the glorious reward of heaven??
The words say that childhood is worth nothing without palestine…sacrifice yourself (blow yourself up won’t you honey?) and you will go to heaven.

I honestly think that the difference is so marginal as to be basically the same as the difference between different countries having different kinds of food. The underlying motives, attitudes, sensibilities etc are basically the same.
