He’s done it again!
Harrumph.
I really thought that Mark Lemstra was likely to Google himself and read this blog and stop using a veritable alphabet soup after this name.
No such luck. He’s done it again on his “Exposure to Radiation and Health Outcomes” report. (The contents of the report is for another post.)

Doesn’t that look ridiculous?
Real journals don’t let you list eight degrees.

It is almost sad that someone needs to string those letter behind their names to boost their self esteem. It isn’t scouts where you display ever badge that you have ever obtained.
Seriously, what do you care whether he puts a list of degrees behind his name? He is obviously a very smart man who loves to learn and works very hard at it. Anyone who has a degree and is proud of it is entitled to display it – it’s not your business. Try focusing on the important issues and check your jealous tendencies at the door.
The number of letters after one’s name is not proportional to intelligence.
I didn’t say it was. But really, how is it any of your business? Do you really have so little to do that you worry about someone else displaying their degrees behind their name? I’ve read a bunch of your various blogs and comments about different issues “going on” in the world and truly believe you need to get a life…perhaps you should try working on putting some letters behind your name and get a JOB.
It’s my “business” because I saw a poster on a public bulletin board and had a response to it. That’s what most blogs are … the blogger’s thoughts and opinions about things they read or see or hear. No one has to read it. Why are you back here if my opinion is so odious?
By the way … I have letters and a job. What do you have?
I also have letters and a job. And a life. You saw a poster on a public bulletin board and thought it was a good idea to mock someone for displaying their achievements behind their name? That, miss blogger, sounds like you need to get a life.
And I equate your blog to a trainwreck…it’s awful and terrible but hard to look away. Your thoughts and opinions are so irrelevant and ridiculous but it’s fascinating how you find them so worthy of expression.
