Another litmus test.

Did you vote for McCain? You’re a racist.
Did you vote for Obama? You’re not a racist.
Did you vote for Kris Allen? You’re a homophobe.
Did you vote for Adam Lambert? You’re not a homophobe.
So stupid. I can’t believe the number of journalists and bloggers who are claiming that Adam Lambert lost because America is a homophobic nation. Please. There are so many other explanations.
- Kris has a more pleasant singing voice. Sure, Adam has a stronger voice and a larger range but I’d rather listen to Kris. I’d pay to SEE Adam perform but it’s Kris’s performances that I’m playing more often on my iPod. Kris has two of the top 10 iTune downloads compared to Adam’s one. (Adam does have more top 100 downloads).
- The judges have been promoting Adam for weeks and America does like an underdog. If the judges just critiqued each performance without announcing “you’re the next American Idol”, this wouldn’t be a factor.
- Face it … Kris is cute. Adam is the cool rocker but Kris appeals to a larger audience.
from wikipedia
- Kris probably picked up more of Danny’s audience than Adam did. If Allison had been number 3, I would have expected an Adam win.
- Maybe America just doesn’t like Glam Rock.
- Kris’s version of “No Boundaries” was much kinder on the ears. Since it will be overplayed on radio during the next month, I am oh so glad that Kris won.
Adam will be wildly successful. He will not be hurt at all by “losing” (if you can even call it that).

imho, it was either that americans pitied kris (he sounds utterly mediocre compared to adam) or they weren’t ready for adam’s unnerving, larger-than-life, off-the-charts talent.
