Can you guess who stole the plane?

A plane was stolen from a flying school in Thunder Bay, Ontario and flown into the United States.  It was quickly joined by two F-16 jets.  Ultimately, when the plane was almost out of fuel, the pilot landed in Missouri.

Any guesses about the identity of the pilot?

Authorities allege 31-year-old Adam Dylan Leon, a native of Turkey who became a Canadian citizen last year, flew the stolen plane.

My question is how he even made it to Missouri given the fact that he never responded to the pilots of the fighter jets or to officials on the ground.  I’m assuming that he didn’t approach any heavily populated areas in a threatening manner because he was practically asking to be shot down.

Update:  He changed his name from Yavuz Berke and it appears that he was trying to commit suicide.  So stupid.  Instead of just killing himself he was trying to have the US military kill him which would then create an international incident.  Can you imagine the spin from Turkey?  Idiot.
