There was a riot today in Sweden. It was outside of a tennis stadium. Surprising, no? No. The Swedish community surrounding the stadium has a large Muslim population and an Israeli tennis team is playing. There were no spectators at the match. Carl believes that even scheduling the match in this neighborhood was a political stunt to stir up more anti-Israel sentiment.
Watch the video. It’s chilling. Protesters lit small explosives, threw what appeared to be paint balls, and tore pieces off of a police vehicle. From this clip, it appears that the police did nothing. Absolutely nothing. Not even when a man tore the wipers and side mirror off of a van. There were policemen in the van and they did nothing. Nothing.
Is this an EU policy? What will happen at the Olympics in London?
I’m just stunned that this amount of hatred in response to a sporting event.
