Oh? My house was a target?

January 1, 2009

Looks like the warnings that the Israeli military gives before bombing Hamas targets doesn’t always work.  Especially if one is intent on becoming a martyr and taking his children with him.  Peace and love?  More like insanity.  Hamas does not want peace.  They want Israel gone.  How can Israel be expected to negotiate under those circumstances?

I don’t have the background to understand a lot of political and military strategies but it seems to me that what Israel needs is a buffer zone and closed borders.  Let Egypt and Jordan and Lebanon deal with the Palestinians.  Let the Arab/Muslim nations supply electricity, food, medical supplies, etc. to Gaza and the West Bank.  Why is Israel expected to provide humanitarian support to the people who are launching rockets towards Israel on a daily basis?  Does any other country?
