A quick end to the Iraq war.

November 6, 2008

More from change.gov:

Immediately upon taking office, Obama will give his Secretary of Defense and military commanders a new mission in Iraq: ending the war.

Notice that it does not say “winning the war.”  If we’re not trying to win and just want to end the war, isn’t that a fancy way of surrendering?  I hope not.

By the way, there will still be a surge.  Kind of.  “Surging diplomacy.”

Surging diplomacy will fail as it always fails in the face of implacable opposition. Our enemies firmly believe that god is on their side and that He has ordained them rulers of the planet. They laugh at diplomacy and use it against us. While we talk they build forces and collect munitions.

Yeah. We’ll have fewer troops on the ground facing more and better armed opposition while the diplomats chat.

    Not good.

    change.gov is apparently a fund-raising site…for 2012.
