Notes to Steve (please read before we have another Grizzly Man incident…you remember that one right?)
Most bears will leave you alone if you leave them alone. The polar bear, however, has been know to stalk humans and attack unprovoked. So you must keep a watchful eye and stay clear of them.
The polar bear is “the only predator that will actively stalk a human” (er…actually not true…mountain lions, amoung other predators, also stalk humans, but be assured, polar bears really enjoy it)
Oh. And polar bear numbers are at a historic high…so stay alert and be safe out there.
