Pro-choice means the right to choose.
I just read an article in which Gloria Feldt, former president of Planned Parenthood, criticized Sarah Palin. The article in question is at lifenews.com, an anti-abortion website. I’m a bit suspicious of the source but the quotes seem legitimate.
Basically, Feldt accuses Palin of forcing her daughter to have a baby instead of getting an abortion.
What a huge assumption to make. Did it ever occur to Feldt that possibly Bristol did consider all of ther options and that she CHOSE to continue her pregnancy? Did it ever occur to Feldt that perhaps Bristol did not even consider abortion because of her own beliefs? Yes, those beliefs were probably based in the beliefs of her parents and her church but is that any different from the daughter of a pro-choice activist? No.
Pro-choice means that one supports the right of women to make choices for themselves.
Isn’t Gloria Feldt the kind of woman who turns other women away from “feminism”?
