18% of Americans are completely clueless
August 28, 2008
According to stats given in the latest issue of Townhall magazine (September 2008), 82% of Americans believe Iran is a serious threat to Israel.
Where the hell have the other 18% been?
Please allow me to make it perfectly clear. According to Iranian President Ahmadinejad, Israel will be wiped off the map. Destroyed. Gone. Would a direct quote from Ahmadinejad himself help? He said that Israel “will soon be erased from the geographical scene.”
So, next time this question is asked, let’s try for 100%. Okay?

good thoughts. They are out to lunch and supporting Obama!
Utter ignorance:
Here’s what the quote stated:
That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word “Regime“, pronounced just like the English word with an extra “eh” sound at the end.
Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase “rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods” (regime occupying Jerusalem).
So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want “wiped from the map”? The answer is: nothing. That’s because the word “map” was never used. The Persian word for map, “nagsheh“, is not contained anywhere in his original farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase “wipe out” ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran’s President threatened to “wipe Israel off the map”, despite never having uttered the words “map”, “wipe out” or even “Israel”.

So he said he wanted to do what? Embrace Israel? Regardless of the individual words, the thought is the same – he wants to destroy or see Israel destroyed. Pure and simple. To say that Iran is not a threat to Israel is pure and utter ignorance.
Lots of very intelligent people agree – iran is indeed a threat…

Anyone who hates Israel so much that he refuses to call the country by its name, denies the holocaust and says that Israel should be wiped off the planet, is, indeed, a threat.
So if you decide that Iran is threat based on a lie, then you must have also supported the invasion of Iraq based on the very same lies.. OK, yes.. that is very “intelligent.”

Lies? Who is talking about Iraq. When you assume…
When you say “death to israel” you really means “hugs”?
