Know. Think. Choose. Do.
Seems simple.
I know that carbohydrates cause water retention. I know that eating carbohydrates leads to headaches (at least for me). I know that I should avoid carbohydrates and only eat good carbs.
I’ve thought about it and I choose to eat a low carb diet.
“Do” is the hard part. Ugh.

I wrote the above text about a month ago and then conveniently forgot about it. Now I’m back to making a serious attempt to change my diet.
Turns out that food allergies may just help me. Many years ago I was tested for food sensitivities. I pretty much ignored the results since I had never had a reaction to any of the foods indicated. Can’t ignore them any more since, as I’ve aged, I’m having reactions to those foods.
Two things I have to avoid are chocolate and colas. See? It’s easier to avoid sugar if you can’t have a Snickers and a Coke. The problem is that sugar is everywhere and in everything or so it seems while I’m trying to pick what to eat.
