It’s to be expected that the Canadian and American governments would meet on issues of joint interest. However, you seem to be confused. Although Barack Obama’s staff acts as if he’s already president and Obama himself thought that Biden was running for president, George W. Bush is still the President of the United States of America. It’s simple, no? President Bush, not President Obama (*shudder*).
So, why are you in Denver at the Democratic National Convention? As a representative of the Government of Canada? As a tourist? Political junkie? Seriously. I don’t see any role for a member of the Canadian government, a Conservative government, to be pandering to the Democrats just in case. Heck, Obama’s not technically the Democratic nominee. Maybe you are jumping the gun a bit?
