This is the e-mail I just received (from an Alberta government account, no less).

Do I even need to tell our readers, whom I assume to be highly intelligent (heh), that this is a hoax?
A small request … if you are considering forwarding any kind of dire warning via e-mail, check it first at Snopes. You can save me the time and yourself the embarassment.
