Nicole Kidman has named her new little girl “Sunday Rose” and guess what? I love it. The best part of this name is that it is different…but not too different. It’s pretty and simple and seems sort of old-fashioned. Very sweet for a little girl. I can also see that it will be a fine grown up name as well.
I am a strong believer in the idea that if you give your child a stupid name, you reap what you sow. Case in point…”Shaylene.” No one should ever name their child “Shaylene.” It is like placing a bumper sticker on her forehead that says ”I Is Trailer Trash and My Ma is Delusional.”

I hate it.
Sunday Urban?
Sounds like a dress code. You know … dressy enough for church but a little more stylish.

Oh – yeah. I forgot about the Urban part…but I still like the Sunday part.

Baby names
I don’t think anyone saw this one coming! There are definitely some interesting baby names out there, particularly among celebrities (my personal favorite is Tu Morrow, daughter of Rob.) Our website, TheRightBabyName.com, uses quantitative data to analyze how well a name fits in with a person’s demographic, as well as how closely associated the name is with professions. (I bet after this, Sunday will have a spike in the “celebrity” association category!) To get sample name reports or to find the right name for your baby, please visit us at http://www.therightbabyname.com !
