No Canada Day Google Doodle

Canada Day was commemorated in 2007, 2006, and on July 2, 2005 (wtf?).

Will Independence Day be commemorated with a Google Doodle this year?

Yes in 2007, 2006, and 2005.

Google does not commemorate Memorial Day. The claim is that the logos tend to be a bit “lighthearted” and wouldn’t be appropriate. Take a look at the logo pages above and see if you believe that. They did acknowledge Remembrance Day in Canada from 2002 to 2006. Why could they do that and not Memorial Day?

I really should use a different search engine.

Any recommendations?
