Murder-Suicide — Can we know why?

“It’s very hard to process things that don’t make sense, but this one won’t ever make sense,” he says. “There is no answer to the question of why.”

The above is a quote from Pastor Dave Ralph in Guelph, Ontario who is performing the eulogy for the Lall Family.

I think he’s wrong and I think that we have to look at “why” it happened in order to prevent it from happening again. Why do so many people seem to have the attitude “That was so out of character. Couldn’t have done anything.”? I want to think that we can do something. I want to believe that if people could admit when they need help and seek out that help as soon as they suspect anything, whether for themselves or someone else, that the outcome could be different.

If someone thought he had a heart attack, wouldn’t they call for help immediately? Why not for mental health?
