What are you feeding the children?
June 10, 2008
To the man behind me in the Tim Horton’s line this morning:
Iced Tea is not a good beverage choice for a child. Why would you give your young daughter caffeine and then send her off to school? Did you know that caffeine makes children fidgety and less able to concentrate?
Might I suggest a carton of milk or a bottle of juice?

Good point. I guess many people do it because we don’t think about the food we eat, much less what we feed our kids.
The thinking of some parents must be like this: soda is bad but iced tea isn’t soda therefore it must be okay. In fact, the iced tea from machines is basically soda without bubbles since it’s sweetened and has caffeine.
