“No neckties for you!”
Asghar Hamidi, the nation’s customs bureau deputy head, whose responsibilities also include work on the Iranian state plan for the “development of culture, chastity and the veil”, says neckties contradict the nature of Iranian culture.
Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says “dress like me and be happy. See, no neckties.”
