You Will Embrace Islam – And You Won’t Even Notice

What does it mean when Saudi Arabia offers universities millions of dollars to promote the discipline of “Islamic Studies”?  It means that we are allowing the Saudis to take Dawa mainstream.  It is the institutionalization of professional, well-orchestrated, proselytizing.  Think of how proud Johnny’s parents will be at convocation – “yes, that’s my son…he has a constructive and critical awareness of the role of Islam in wider society – I’m so proud.  He already has a job with the FBI as their new Acceptance of Islam officer”. 

Prince Alwaleed said: “It is paramount for both Islam and the West to reach mutual ground for pro-active dialogue, respect, acceptance and tolerance. We are determined to continue building the bridge between Islam and the West for peace and humanity.”

Funny – they always talk about acceptance and tolerance…and they are one of the least tolerant countries in the world.  The only acceptance that they are interested in is your acceptance of Islam and Sharia.  Understanding and dialogue is always one way – their way.  And when you have that much money and your audience is idealistic, liberal university students, the battle is half over.
