Sask Party MLA Michael Chisholm called NDP MLA Deb Higgins a “dumb bitch.” He said it under his breath but the comment did make it into the official transcript. He’s apologized and resigned from his post as a legislative secretary (he’s still an MLA). Is that enough? Apparently to Ms. Higgins but I think it’s actually too much. Isn’t the apology alone enough?
By the way, as Tammy Robert points out on her blog, Ms. Higgins assertion that the comment was “in a roundabout way directed at all women” is wrong. It was directed at her.
I’m assuming Ms. Higgins doesn’t watch SNL.
