Biofuels will destroy the world….

When I was a young innocent liberal, I sucked up and swallowed all the environmentalist propaganda I could let my little brain handle. But then I grew up and looked around and started asking the hard questions. I became skeptical. I began to question the big lies. Today’s big lie – the environmental disaster called biofuels. Who thought that burning food would be a good thing??? The other big truth – only the little people need sacrifice for the good of the planet.

Biofuels can be a problem, especially if they are grown with petroleum fertilizers like corn. But not all biofuels are the same. The problem with environmental policy of Obama, e.g., is that he relies on ethanol (corn) and indeed it will do damage to our food supply. Gore, on the other hand, has advocated biofuel development that does not use the food supply, is replaceable, and does not rely on petroleum based fertilizers. It’s important to have environmental advisors who know something about science of biofuels, not just political advisors who advise expedient solutions. I don’t think Gore is to blame on this one. The Sierra Club has some good info on which biofuels are good.
